  1. Aug 09,  · Compare the stereo of, say, FRANK SINATRA SINGS FOR ONLY THE LONELY to the stereo of COME DANCE WITH ME. On LONELY, you can almost see the orchestra laid out before your eyes and ears. On DANCE, the brass are isolated hard right and the reeds and rhythm are isolated hard left, and ne'er the two shall meet. Blech! (IMO.).

  5. Sinatra was a forerunner of the concept album. Pignone told us about the singer's vision to present a better listening experience with albums like the travel-themed Come Fly With Me: "He was just very lucky that they were able to go from the inch to the inch [records].But he had envisioned that instead of people just making singles, to do a whole album thematically so it would hold.
  6. They didn't believe me. They didn't believe me! Your lips, your eyes, your cheeks, your hair, Are in a class beyond compare, You're the loviest girl that one could see! And when I tell them, And I cert'nly am goin' to tell them, That I'm the man whose wife one day you'll be. They'll never believe me. They'll never believe me.
  7. "Come fly with me" was the first and probably the best of Sinatra's 3 albums with Billy May. Somewhat oddly for Sinatra this album is a mixture of swing tracks and ballads, normally the albums would be one or the other. The vocals by Frank are on this album are amongst my favourite and Billy May's orchestra is loud and swingin but subtle and /5(60).
  8. They Didn't Believe Me This song is by Frank Sinatra and appears on the album The Golden Days of Radio (). (He) Got the cutest little way, Like to watch you all the day. And it certainly seems fine, Just to think that you'll be mine. When I see your pretty smile, Makes the living worth the while. So I've got to run around, Telling people what I've found. (Boy) And when I.
